Task #1
The adolescent stage is a hard to go through for both parents and the children. There are three stages Early (12-14 years) Middle (15-17 years) and Late (18-21 years). The age range in each stage can range for each child.
I think the chart makes lots of sense because I can agree and relate to lots of what is being said. Such as, Early Adolescence you begin to worry about your body. I did that at around age 13. Also. the Middle Adolescence they say parents interfere with the teens independence. I felt that way as well. I still kind of feel that way.
In the Middle stage the teen feels invincible like nothing bad could happen to them. Sometimes I still feel this way. I feel like I could do most things and get away with it and nothing bad will happen. During the Early stage I remember wanting to always hang with my friends instead of my family.
I agree with what was said about Late Adolescence. This is because they start to turn back to their family instead of friends and I am starting to do that. Plus, it says we start worrying about the future and that I am also doing. Like what do I want to do after High School. It surprises me that people become less concerned about their body. Because I feel as a girl I always worry about my body and how I can improve it. We were pounded with skinny is pretty.

Is Your Teen Trustworthy? Can You Tell? (2011, July 9). Retrieved March 5, 2015, from https://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/thinking-about-kids/201107/is-your-teen-trustworthy-can-you-tell
This article talks about how trustworthy your teen is and who can tell if they are lying. Teens need to feel that you trust them that makes a good child-parent relationship. The more you trust them the more the teens want to live up to that. Also, surveys say the mothers are likely to spot a lie. And although most kids lie, some lie more than others.
The connection I have to the article is I have lied to my parents. But it is usually little things. But they trust me so much I don't really want to be a bad kid and lie and break their trust. I like our relationship. And because I don't lie as much we have a good parent-child relationship. I actually consider my mom my best friend. I can tell her just about anything. But she still has rules I need to obey. Like 12:00 I have to be home. And I have to do work to get money for the weekend.

A Different Approach To Drug Prevention With Teens
This article talks about teen addiction. They say use a different approach to help them like tell them emotional stress is a part of life and healthy. A good drug prevention advertisements shouldn't include drugs at all. Sounds weird but may work. Many people who struggle with this are people who have been through a divorce or work hard and never pays off and ect.
The connection I have to this article is I know many people struggling with drug addiction. I have tried to help but I don't really know what to say other than "stop it can kill you" or "drugs are bad" which in that case doesn't help. But maybe if I used this approach it could work. I feel like pounding on them about stopping do not help. You have to be more of a friend then their parent.
