Task #1
Describe two types of biases critics have leveled at Kohlberg's theory. Do you believe these criticisms are well grounded?
Critics contend that Kohlberg's model may be culturally biased because it emphasizes ideals found in Western cultures such as individual rights and social justice (Shwedwe, 1994). There was a cross-country study done comparing people in the United States and India. There was cultural differences in the priorities placed on justice and interpersonal values (Miller & Bersoff, 1992).
Psychologist also addressed that there are gender bias in Kohlberg's theory. Women are not less capable then men. The voices of girls and women should be heard. In that context women have different moral values. Men and women have different views.

Task #2
Imaginary audience says the adolescents belief that other people are as interested in his or her concerns and needs as the adolescents is. Often this state is common in young adolescents, people of any age can experience a fantasy of imaginary audience. For example, if a girl is walking down the hallway and there are girls behind her talking and laughing, she thinks they are laughing about her.
Personal fable is an exaggerated sense of one's uniqueness. Adolescents may believe their life experiences and/or personal feelings are so unique nobody could understand them. For example, a parent may have went to a similar experience but the adolescent and they respond with something like "You don't understand what I'm going through!"
Task #3
The things I learned was adults may drink more frequently but teens consume more alcohol. During puberty not only does the body change but your brain does. It becomes more mature. The brain involved in keeping emotional, impulsive responses in check are still maturing. The connections I made were going through puberty I now realize that not only was my body changing but you are maturing. Also, teens can become dependent on alcohol. My old friend became dependent on it and I finally came to the conclusion she will never change back if she doesn't want to change.
